if they´ve got the same resistance and if they are linear or logarithmic like the rotational ones, then you can change them.

The pots in the 9x are 5kOhm pots, which are used in their full range.
I have converted two 9x radios and as the pot works as a voltage divider, it is not critical. You can use 10kOhm or even 50kOhm pots. (I've done so.)

Some of the Futaba sliders have additional resistors in their connection, so if you connect them to a radio that does not expect those resistors, the pots will not give the full range.

You can avoid this by:
1. Buying regular sliding pots, but these typically do not have the centre detent of the Futaba units.
or
2. Getting the Futaba F1501, it does not have the additional resistor and is a 10kOhm pot.

If you swap the pots, make sure to connect the wires properly smile

Many Bruder conversions use modified servos, or you use RB 35 200:1 from Conrad.
Gear motors have more power, but they are bigger. I use gear motors in my excavator.

I think gear ratio is not the measurement you should be looking for.
Torque and rpm at the final drive are more helpful.
I think the rpm of the chain wheel of most excavators is around 15 rpm?
Not an excavator man, so you might want to check that.

Das ist ja das Problem die Farbe bekommste nur bei CAT und die sagen auch nicht was für ein RAL Ton das ist !! Mann kann hier bei CAT die Farbe Kaufen in Sprühdosen als Reparaturlack und da ist auch keine Nr. drauf . Oder in kg Dosen .
